Website Strategy

Clear paths. Stronger search.

This strategy shows how your new website can make roofing unmistakably primary, support every service you provide, and help more homeowners find and choose First Response.

First Response Home Services

01 · Overview

Roofing first. Every planned page accounted for.

The proposed sitemap preserves valuable existing pages, gives overlapping pages a clear consolidation plan, and adds the service, proof, location, accessibility, and legal pages required for the redesign.

02 · Sitemap + Scope

Every page in the redesign, in one place.

Choose a section, then switch between the current and proposed websites without losing your place. The proposed view is the page-level scope for this redesign: retained pages remain visible, consolidations are identified, and every recommended new page is marked.

Retain and rebuildConsolidate or redirectNew page

Approval of this sitemap establishes the planned page scope. Requests to add or materially change pages after approval may affect cost and timeline.

03 · Opportunities

Help every page work harder.

When every page has a distinct job, homeowners find answers faster and search engines understand your expertise more clearly. The redesign will reduce overlap, establish roofing as the lead service, and create stronger local entry points.

01

Clarify roofing services

We will combine pages that answer the same search and give roof repair, replacement, inspections, maintenance, and emergency work their own clear roles.

02

Organize services by customer need

Roofing and Exterior Cleaning will provide clear paths to related services. Gutters, siding, and windows remain direct offerings without being forced into a broad Exterior category.

03

Create local entry points

Dedicated location pages will connect your services, projects, and customer proof to each community within your service area.

04 · Page Paths

Every page has a purpose.

A homeowner should be able to move naturally from the question that brought them to your website to relevant local proof—and then to the right next step.

Entry

City + service search

A homeowner searches for roof repair in Marietta or a similar immediate need.

Landing page

Relevant local answer

They see the right service, local context, completed projects, and reviews.

Confidence

Specific service proof

Clear process, warning signs, FAQs, examples, and expectations build trust.

Action

Inspection or estimate

They receive a clear next step that matches their situation.

05 · Our Work

Add each project once. Let it build trust everywhere.

Every completed job can become a useful project story. Once added to Our Work, it will also appear on the service and location pages where it is most relevant—giving homeowners proof that matches what they need and where they live.

01 · Document

Publish the real project.

Add the challenge, work completed, photos, findings, and outcome to one project story.

02 · Connect

Match the service and location.

Identify the work performed and the community served so each project can support the right pages.

03 · Display

Show proof where it matters.

The project appears within Our Work and alongside the corresponding service and location content.

Customer reviews can follow the same principle: a central review collection can also provide relevant proof throughout service, project, and location pages. The structure is designed to grow with future offerings without reorganizing the entire website.

06 · Locations

Represent your full service area.

The redesigned website will include every city currently within your service area. We recommend building the first eight around the markets where you have the strongest proximity, project history, and customer proof, then applying the same useful local standard across the remaining communities. Existing landmark-page content will be folded into the appropriate city pages as supporting local context—not retained as standalone landing pages.

07 · Redesign Priorities

One redesign. Six priorities.

These are not separate phases. They are connected requirements that will be addressed throughout the new website so the finished experience is clearer, easier to find, accessible, and built to generate qualified leads.

01

Clear site architecture

Consolidate overlapping pages, assign one purpose to each page, and create intuitive navigation.

02

Search visibility

Build focused service and location pages around the searches homeowners actually use.

03

AI visibility

Organize clear, useful, well-supported information that AI search tools can understand and cite.

04

ADA compliance

Remove accessibility barriers and establish an accessible design and content standard.

05

Conversion pathways

Guide each visitor from their need to the right service, proof, and next action.

06

Lead generation

Create clear calls to action and practical ways to request an inspection, estimate, or help.

08 · Accessibility

Make it easier for every homeowner to ask for help.

Your current website contains accessibility barriers that can prevent some visitors from independently understanding your services or contacting your team. Accessibility will be part of the redesign from the beginning—not treated as an add-on at the end.

Why it matters

Access affects people, trust, and risk.

Clear navigation, readable content, accessible images, and usable forms help more homeowners understand their options and request service confidently.

What we will build

Accessibility will be built in.

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls
  • Visible focus states and logical heading structure
  • Readable contrast, sizing, and spacing
  • Useful alternative text for meaningful images
  • Accessible forms, labels, errors, and status messages
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow.
After launch

Accessibility continues with the website.

We will establish an accessible foundation. As the website grows, new pages, photos, PDFs, forms, and third-party tools will also need to follow that standard.

09 · Project Roadmap

Clear benchmarks from strategy to launch.

You will have a clear review and approval point at each major benchmark. This keeps decisions visible, gives your team meaningful opportunities for input, and prevents surprises late in the build.
